چکیده
The CLAS and Hall A collaborations at Jefferson Laboratory have recently released new results for the ep → epγ reaction. We analyze these new data within the Generalized Parton Distribution formalism. Employing a fitter algorithm introduced and used in earlier works, we are able to extract from these data new constraints on the kinematical dependence of three Compton Form Factors. Based on experimental data, we subsequently extract the dependence of the proton charge radius on the quarks’ longitudinal

Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering at JLab Hall A
The deeply virtual Compton scattering reaction has been investigated in the Hall A of the Jefferson Laboratory by measuring longitudinally polarized (~e, e′γ) cross sections, in the valence quark region, for protons and neutrons. In the proton channel, experimental results strongly support the factorization of the cross section at Q as low as 2 GeV, opening the path to sytematic measurements of...

Recent results on the Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) program at Jefferson Lab (JLab) will be presented. The emphasis will be in the Hall A program aiming at measuring Q−dependences of different terms of the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) cross section. This is a fundamental step before one can extract GPD information from JLab DVCS data. The upcoming program in Hall A, using bo...

Generalized parton distributions provide a unifying framework for the interpretation of exclusive reactions at high Q2. The most promising reaction for the investigation of these distributions is the hard production of photons using Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS). This reaction can be accessed experimentally by determining the production asymmetry using polarized electrons on a proton...
متن کاملMeasurements of Spin Asymmetries for Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering off the Proton using the Extended Maximum Likelihood Method
Generalised Parton Distributions (GPDs) provide a theoretical framework that promises to deliver new information about proton structure. In the impact parameter interpretation, they describe the substructure of the proton in terms of its quark (and gluon) constituents in three dimensions: two transverse spacial dimensions and one longitudinal momentum dimension. Through Ji’s sum rule, they offe...
